The Union Senior team continued their perfect start to the season, beating Valley and Oamaru in the second week of club cricket in North Otago.

In the first game Union took on Valley in a clash between the two undefeated teams. After winning the toss and electing to bat, Union notched up 144/6 in their 20 overs with twins Jeremiah (52) and Thomas (17) providing a contribution at the top of the order while the brothers James, Blake (29) and Mason (13) helped their team after the loss of Shields. For Valley Francois Mostert took 2-21 and Hamish McKenzie 2-21.

Valley looked to be on their way to an easy victory being 2-103 after the 13th over, but when Glynn Cameron came to the crease the game changed drastically. Taking two wickets from his first two balls, this started a dramic collapse that saw Valley lose 7 wickets for 28 runs. Cameron took the first five wicket bag by a Union senior player in T20 cricket, finishing with 6-13 in four overs and at one point took four wickets in six balls. When their 20 overs were over, Valley finished on 137/9, 7 runs short of the Union total. For Valley, Mostert (29), McLachlan (41) and Gilbert (31) were the main contributors with Gilbert and McLauhlan putting on 65 for the third wicket to put their side into a seemily unbeatable position.

In the second game Union took on traditional rivials Oamaru. When 20 overs were completed, Oamaru had 124/6 on the board, Craig Smith (39), Jordie Bartlett (36) and Zac Naldrett all making double figures. Bartlett and Smith together put on 64 for the third wicket. Scott Kitto (2-36) and Glynn Cameron (2-27) both took two wickets each, Cameron finishing with 8-40 for the day.

Early on in the Union innings it was led by the Shields twins, Thomas (18) and Jeremiah (21) then Matt Lilley (21) came in for a quick camero - his 21 included three sixes. Sean Conlan (35*) and Blake James (17*) then put on an unbeaten 45 to help their side to a 6 wicket victory. Lachlan Brookes (2-29) and Craig Smith (1-12) were the pick of the Oamaru bowlers.
