Seniors fall to Albion

The Union Senior team fell to Albion on the St Kevins Artificial by 85 runs on Saturday
Batting first Albion made 190 in its 50 overs with Regan George (50), Zack Wade (32*) and Steve Halliwell (23) making good contributions with the bat. For Union Sam Bastin took three wickets while Charlie Saunders took 2 for 23 and Paul Johnston 2 for 38.
Union fell well short of the required target with only four batsmen making it into double figures. Duncan Drew (23) top scored while Sam Bastin (20), Brad Fleming (15) and Matt Lilley (13*). For Albion Dylan Winter took 4-25, Brad Kernahan 2-18 and Brad Kingan 2-20.
The Borton Cup competition now takes a break for the summer holidays with the teams now playing in the Dick Hunt Holiday competition.
