The Union Senior team are the only undefeated team in the Borton Cup competition after another comprehensive victory, this time against St Kevins College.
Batting first the top six of the Union batting order all made double figures, with stand in captain Sean Conlan making a half century. The visitors recorded their third 200+ in a row, with a difficult batting wicket and slow outfield made scoring runs difficult. Adam Docherty (3-38), Jacob Fowler (2-26) and Liam Direen (2-50) were the best of the St Kevins bowlers.
St Kevins top order was rocked and left in taters after Blake James took early wickets to leave them 4-6 in the third over of the innings. Ex volt Craig Smith (40) and Isaac Clooney (23) then put together a good partnership of 52 for the 5th wicket but by that stage the damage was already done. James was the best of the bowlers taking 5-27 in his ten overs while Matt Lilley (2-21) and Brad Fleming (2-13) took two wickets each. A win to Union by 112 runs.
