The Union Senior team was well beaten by Albion in a rain affected match in weeekend.
Batting first Union struggled to gain some sort of momentum to push their innings along and were 77-6 in the 32nd over when heavy rain forced players from the field at King George Park. When the rain passed, the match was reduced to 41 overs. Dan Conlan was the top scorer for the innings with 27, while Blake James (13) and Sean Conlan (16) make contributions to their sides 135. For Albion, Otago Volts squad member Nathan Smith took 2-13 of his 8 overs while Dylan Winter finished with 2-23 before the rain. Jeremy Smith (2-18) and Brady Kingan (2-38) both took two wickets.
