Union smashed Oamaru by 213 runs in the weekend thanks to a hard hitting 125 from Scott Kitto and Happy Singh taking 5 wickets in the Oamaru innings.

Batting first Union reached an imposing 318/5 in their 50 overs with Kitto and Brad Fleming (49) putting on 85 for the 4th wicket. Fleming then combined with Happy Singh (32) to put on 70 for the 5th wicket. Fleming reaching 49 before being dismissed in the final over.

Oamaru never really looked like chasing down the required 320 for victory, struggling to up the run rate. Only Nicky Johnston (29) and Mahajan (29) reached double figures, Mahajan falling with the score on 62. This started a collapse that saw Oamaru lose their last 7 wickets for the addition of only 43 runs, Happy Singh ripping through the middle order to take 5-29 of his 7 overs. Oamaru all out for 105 at the end of the 28th over, 213 runs short of Union's total.
