Only one of two who have played more than 200 games in a career for Union. What is even more remarkable about that feat is that for a period of eleven years between 1986 and 1997 he did not play for the club as he had moved away from the North Otago region. His score of 101 not out in the 2000-01 season, was recorded batting as an opener in the Borton Cup final against Albion on the 31st of March. He currently has the 6th highest number of wickets taken in a career for Union Seniors. Has a large throwing arm in the field. Retired two seasons ago but whenever the team has been short always willing to put on the whites. (Dec 2007) |
