Union started badly losing both openers Ants Cromwell and Jeremiah Shields leaving them 2-2 of two overs. Duncan Drew and Sean Conlan then combined for a good partnership of 49 for the third wicket before the loss Drew for 26. Good partnerships were hard to come until Todd Sidon and Chris Ware combined before the loss of Sidon for 41. Ware became the key for the remainder of the innings eventually dismissed for 29. Union was all out for 207 in the 46th over with player/coach Tim McCormick taking 4-29 and Brodie Flannery taking 3-50.
St Kevin's struggled to throughout their innings and never really looked like challenging the Union total. The best of the St Kevin's batsman was Tim O'Malley, top scoring in the match with 61 but with batsmen falling around him it wasn't enough to help his side to victory. For Union Isaac Shields is running into good form at the best time of the season taking 3-26, while Duncan Drew took 2-18.
Seniors finished first in round robin play with a record of 10 wins and 2 losses. They will play Valley at KGP this week in the Borton Cup semi-final.
