Mark Wilson took the outstanding figures of 6-7 as Union comprehensively beat St Kevin's College by 173 runs.

Batting first Union scored 239-9 of its 50 over's. Only opener Paul Johnston (7) failed to score double figures in the top order with Glynn Cameron (38), Gavin Strachan (48), Duncan Drew (32) and Mark Wilson (53) all making good contributions to the Union total. However concerned with a slow run rate captain Peter Cameron promoted Tony Moore to six in the batting order hitting a quick fire 19. Robert Coates then scored 12 in the final 2 over's to leave Union with a good total on a wicket which was made difficult to bat on after heavy over night rain.

St Kevin's in its chase was off to a reasonable start but lost opener Daniel Gard (18) and fellow opener Justin Boyle (22) to leave St Kevin's on 42-2. This was only the start of a specular batting collapse that saw St Kevin's losing 10 wickets for only 25 runs. Wilson then took the next four batsmen and two of the last three wickets. The other wicket takers were Steven Ridley (2-26) and Glynn Cameron (1-7) .
