Union had its first win against Naseby since 2000 with a shock 7 wicket win. Naseby batted first and where restricted to 104 all out after 21.3 over's. Oamaru import Nathan Mitchell was the pick of the bowlers taking 4-24 of his eight over's, while Craig Campbell took 3-25 and spin bowler Paul Johnston finished with 2-27. In pervious years it was Naseby that took the attack to the Union bowlers, however this time Union batsman Jeremiah Shields decided to reverse this trend falling just short of a half century stumped on 49 including 8 fours and 2 sixes. Glynn Cameron offered good support for Shields recording 22, while Mitchell McRae was 15 not out when Union passed Naseby's total after only 16 over's. A win to Union by 7 wickets, its first win against Naseby since 2000.

Naseby 104 (Nathan Mitchell 4-24, Craig Campbell 3-25, Paul Johnston 2-27, Michael Ormandy 1-15) Union 105-3 (Jeremiah Shields 49, Glynn Cameron 22, Mitchell McRae 15 not out). Win to Union by 7 wickets.
