Union is now second in the Borton Cup competition after a high scoring six wicket loss to Albion in the weekend.

After winning the toss and electing to bat Union lost opener Glynn Cameron with the score only on 13. However James Cutt, backing up his twenty/20 hundred last week, was aggressive from the start top scoring for the innings with 63 including 10 4s. As the innings went on it was partnerships that Union looked to help the scoring with four batsman scoring the twenties. Union all out for a very competitive 244 in the 44th over.

Albion were struggling in its run chase at 85-3 but a big partnership between Brad Kernahan and Paul Odell effectively took the game out of Unions hands with Kernahan the last batsman out in the innings for 74, while Odell took his team through to a 5 wicket win with 84 not out. Matt Cutt was the only bowler to take two wickets or more with 2-41.
