Seniors suffered a 48 run loss to Valley in the Borton Cup semi at KGP.

Batting first Valley scored 147 with Paul Johnston taking 3-27, while Philip Crossan (2-30) and Michael Ormandy (2-40) took two wickets each.

Union started badly losing five wickets by the time the total had reached 15. A good partnership between Andy McCulloch and Matt Cutt looked to be stabilising the innings before Cutt was caught for 19, and then McCulloch was caught behind for 19. Another good partnership looked to be developing between captain Paul Johnston and Michael Ormandy, but the score on 85, Ormandy was hit and rushed to hospital with a badly broken elbow. Batting a man short Union was bowled out for 99 with Johnston not out on 8.
