The Union senior team are the lowest placed club side in the Borton Cup competition after a 29 run loss to St Kevin's at the school ground.

Batting first after losing the toss St Kevin's recorded 160 of 49 over's losing their last 5 wickets for the addition of only 6 runs. Ben Cant top scored with 40 while M Lamont propped up the middle order with 33. For Union Dan Conlan took 3-27, new recruit Neil Louw took 3-29 while skipper Paul Johnston took 2-11.

Union struggled in its chase never really looking putting together partnerships. The highest partnership of the entire innings was the last, with Stu Dickinson marking his first game in Union colours this season, top scoring with 43 not out and new recruit Neil Louw paying a supporting role. The partnership was broken with 131 on the board 30 runs short of the required target.
