Seniors had their first practice for the 2006-07 season with a good turn out at the KGP nets. Despite losing three key players from last season (Neville Donaldson to retirement, Craig Campbell moving north to Wellington and Marcel McKenzie) the team looks to be an ideal balance of youth and experience. Neil Rushton was elected as Senior captain, while Paul Johnston was elected as vice-captain. The team will be looking to keep the Dick Hunt Trophy at KGP after successfully defending it last year, and making it one better in Borton Cup being beaten in the final last season.
