Union had made 115 on the first day of the match with Oamaru and on Saturday Oamaru replied with 139, of which Kelk got 49 before he retired. Gunn 25, and J. Hall 21. Union in the second innings made 97 (Rawstorn 22). The wickets were well divided by the Oamaru bowlers. Geddes bowled most effectively for Union.
