In the first clash between NOCA Cup newcomers the Eastern Colts against Union at Palmerston, Union has a six wicket win.

Batting first the Colts were bowled out for a paltry 72 with James Nicol being the main destroyer of the innings, taking 5/20 and Dylan Edwards took three wickets for 17.

Union lost four wickets in its reply before surpassing the required total. Hamish Robertson top scored with 29 not out, while John Anderson notched up 28.
