A Union team comprising Senior and Senior Reserve players beat the touring Red's team from Melbourne at King George Park.

The Red's team batted first and of their 40 over's scored 168. J Scotland was the top scorer with 46 while A Cahn recorded 33.

In its chase James Ferris proved that he can destroy any bowling line-up on his day top scoring with 95 of only 53 balls. In his total he scored 16 boundaries, with 6 sixes and 10 fours. He was well supported by fellow opener Jeremiah Shields (30) combining with a 97 run opening stand. Jeremiah's twin brother, Thomas, saw Union through to the required target with 26 not out - a win to Union by 7 wickets.
