Lower Grades miss out
Monday, 28 March 2011

The Union Cricket Club Senior Reserve and Second Grade teams missed out making their finals next weekend after losing both of their semi-finals.

A poor effort with the bat saw the Senior Reserve team only notch up 57 runs in their innings against bitter rival Valley after batting first on the Weston Park ground. Valley passed the required total only three wickets down

The Second Graders managed to restrict Oamaru to 147 in their innings but after their top order was knocked over for less than 30 runs it was always going to be a tough chase. They were all out for just over 100, meaning they repeat their placing from last year.
